Gods love

A better version of me

It’s not always about what you have bought

Keep your attitude good, your spirits high

You will feel so much better inside

Be trustworthy and never lie

Then there’s nothing from which  you should hide

Life, simple joys may not be 

Your cup of tea, but that’s the difference 

Between you and me 

Sitting on the porch, sipping coffee or wine 

Listening to the birds chirp, 

Well, that’s life divine

If you’re always rushing and wanting more

Keeping up with the Joneses

Having to make the better score

How will you ever learn to be?

In love with life, simple, and carefree

As I get older, I appreciate more

The things that truly matter

My family, good friends, good music

And not keeping score…

He was a liar and a thief 

Stealing my heart from the very beginning

Passion I thought I no longer held within my soul 

But he walked away with not a word, no explanation no conversation
