 Karma’s Call

Wrapped and a tattered is

my cloak of dignity,

soul uncertain of each step that I take

Conscious all the while

that you're leaving me

was the best  choice we could make…

You were never meant

for a woman like me…

You possess no clue of  the

meaning of the words love and

respect and have a moral code

Perhaps one day (I do believe)

 Karma will come knocking

on your door, persistent and concise

For in life you have tempted fate,

know her madness…

Declaration of Independence

It hurt my heart when I let you go

Even though it was the right thing to do

It didn’t feel like it no, not at all

I thought I’d always be with you

But you never followed through

Not even one single  time

So now I’m done with you

Being with you was an uphill climb

I should’ve known it was too good to be true

I should’ve seen the signs

But I’d look into those eyes of blue

Those were the downfall of my design

You left my life in devastation

Teetering on the brink

Always excuses and explanations

I was blind, I didn’t think

But I’m better now, I’m coming back  to me,

A better person than ever before

A woman who insist on a heart that is happy

Or I will walk out the door

Tortured Soul

Tortured soul,  when the realization hits you

like a ton of bricks, head on

You feel like a freight train has taken over

and it’s running you down

but there’s nothing you can do to get out of the way.

Life is supposed to be better than this,

empty promises as deep as a well

Lost dreams as vast as a

the ocean  and  as faraway from reality

as the moon

my soul is absolutely terrified

How could I have been so foolish?

Return

Knowing your touch
will be as whisper soft
as midnight, that magic hour
when the world is
slowly floating past

You lean close  to kiss my forehead,

making me feel so safe

In your arms, I will drift as
smoothly as a ship bound
for passion's shore,
lost in the fog of bliss

In a world where ecstasy is
not a distant memory
but rather the mindset
of what we are together

Traveling life's path around
any obstacles, hand in hand

I see beyond the mountains high, to

a time and place of contentment,

Known as the book of We,

it starts with chapter 1

welcome to when

Fiercely

Fiercely
 I will love you fiercely
each and every day
You bring me joy in each and every way
 I will trust your judgment
and walk this path with you
For you and I both know
our love is strong and true

Take my hand , don’t let go
for you’re my all in all
You’re the only one I care to know
When it comes to loves true call

 Love me, so fiercely ,
 forever and a day
Be by my side till the end of time
And then just one more day.

Just for me

Just for Me

When the time comes to
change your mindset,
when your world
has drifted off course
let the sunshine
and the moon's soft glow
heal your wounds,
the unseen ones
hidden by an
empty smile or
sad eyes

Heal "just for me"
For it is withinz you
and you and you
alone hold the
power of becoming
stronger, better,
happier and most
likely wiser by
lessons learned
, be them the hard
way or not

Remember to heal
"just for me"

Time can be your
friend or your
enemy if you
let it tick by
without caring,
without feeling,
bottled emotions
must be set free
like a message
in a bottle,
drifting out to
sea

Storms come and
they pass and
we have to be
our own teacher,
preacher, friend
and allow ourselves
the courage, the
true courage
to live
So, please, heal
"just for me"

Her Best Friend

Her Best Friend
Questioning eyes
meet her gaze,
as his actions
and words
continue to amaze

There she sits
with a smile on
her face because
her heart has found
a happy “place”

He makes her
laugh when
he touches
her “there”

His kisses
tell her how
much he does care

She loves it when
he sings a made
up song

And sometime
s they dance and
sway all night long
And when he
breaks out that
old guitar and
begins to strum
real slow

She realizes just
how special he is,
this man who makes
her “glow”

He is her lover,
her best friend,
her guy

The one who holds
her under a dark
night’s sky

Tender hands
caress her as
his eyes speak
to her soul

And time will
tell how this
book ends, as
contentment
for both
is the ultimate
goal
