He matter to me

Sun in my eyes,
Peeking through the curtain less window
Making me feel warm and alive
Even though I sit here alone
I don’t feel abandoned
I don’t feel unloved
I feel the glory of the sunshine
And what it represents
Waking up in a positive light
Can make your day so much better
Leave the negatives behind
Let your troubles roll off your sleeve
Be brave, be strong, and most
of all, be kind
Praising the day’s potential

The Belief
Living on faith, not always an easy chore
But you just have to remind yourself
To have more faith than you did before
When the Bible wasn’t dusty on a shelf
Whatever your belief system may be
You will know it in your heart
And we don’t all agree
But Faith is a good place to start

The Ferry
I first saw you on the ferry
A really long time ago
Eyes laughing, so merry
No sadness , heartache or woe
Endlessly avoiding your gaze
I didn’t want you to see
My mind empty, as in haze
Thinking what had become of to me?
Words written dancing on the screen
Stories told, given half a chance
Lies of the life so serene
Fables of life filled with romance
You always saw into my very soul
You possess that power over me
Knees weak as a newborn foal
Wondering what this time you’d see
Do you see me sitting here?
Lost in thought of you
Are you coming closer, near
With dark eyes, so true

The Gift
To dream the dreams of the grandmothers
to see the world as it once was
to feel the ways of the others
to feel life like she does
The grandmother came and saw
she felt and knew and gave
the world outside mattered not
faith, she said, be brave
The time has come to open up
and see what must been seen
you know and feel the love given
the faith will wash it clean
Do not fret or worry so
about what will happen then
the faith brings hope and flow
you life will begin again
Honor the earth, she said my child
remember the ones who were
the wolves and hawks and all the wild
honor them with faith, pure
Now is the calling from the stars
the moon who guides your way
take breathes and thoughts and dreams
to heart
for life begins today

Now and Then
What once was is no more
That which I believed true
Never even walked through the door
Sad eyes, tears streaming, bad you
Now and then I think of that
Those days long since gone by
Alone, I waited, alone, I sat
Thinking I was going to die
