Tears of Renewal

Tears of Renewal

I surrender completely
to my unshed tears,
building like a starburst
in my chest

I let them flow like
tiny streams, building
to a mighty river
where I will sail
into the mist of
unknown days and
find my way back home

This journey has veered
off my intended path and
I find myself alone with
tattered dreams and wishes

And as my tears subside,
I find a new purpose, an
inner strength I never knew
existed and I shout to the
mountains and the seas,
here I am again, home at last
