It’s a new day

It’s a new day 

And here’s my attitude 

Can’t look at life  that way 

But rather  live in gratitude 

Things happen for a reason 

I know this all too well 

True love is not just a season  

Looking forward, outside the shell

So now I must move on

Not living in my past

From dawn til setting sun

Looking out for me, at last
