Abandoned

Abandoned
Lost in a world
of "who am I,"
abandoned by
his own memories

He searches the room,
seeking some clue, an
answer, for "who is that
man in my mirror"

His loved ones sit by,
helpless to his plight,
as his days drip by
like a slow, leaky faucet

Now and then he finds
himself again, for
the briefest snatch
of time and for
a moment life
is like it was as
memories breeze
through his mind
like a warm summer
wind...
