New Day
I'm grateful for this unfettered road
where a new me can emerge,
to walk my path without constraint
and release my inner child
Sanctimoniously receiving light
from deep within my soul,
I awaken on a new shore of
cream colored sand where
the waves are washing away
the past and the breeze
is blowing in a better now
And thankful does not even
begin to describe the feelings
of wonder and awe as the
sun rises in the east...
